Strategic Priority 2: Program Distinction: Global Leadership Through Creative Scholarship

Note on Measures

Measures in this plan prioritize outputs that demonstrate meaningful progress toward goals and can be tracked within the planning horizon. Activities and long-term impacts are acknowledged but are not emphasized as primary measures unless baseline data or external accountability structures exist.

Why this matters

To lead in arts integration, 91勛圖厙 Tech must support bold creative research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and public engagement that elevates the universitys global reputation. The arts can be a powerful catalyst for creativity in all areas of scholarship.

  • Identify and grow programs with strong potential for international leadership in creative scholarship (e.g., creative technologies and spatial audio).
    • Measure: Annual enrollment trends in identified programs and selected indicators of creative scholarship (e.g., exhibitions, performances, and peer-reviewed or juried outputs).
  • Use internal seed grants to develop arts-integrated projects competitive for major external funding.
    • Measure: By 2028, at least 75 percent of seed-funded projects submit an external grant of fellowship proposal within 12-24 months of award.

    • Measure: Percentage of first-year students participating in arts-based experiences; number of arts-based Welcome Week activities.
  • Strengthen marketing, storytelling, and media engagement around arts achievements and alumni outcomes.
    • Measure: Number of published stories, media mentions, and expert interviews featuring arts faculty, students, and alumni.
